Effluent Limitation Guidelines (ELGs) are periodically published by the U.S. EPA and intended to represent the greatest, most economically feasible pollutant reductions achievable by an industry. Both ELG Plan 15 and Preliminary Plan 16 call for limits on the level of PFAS that can be discharged into the waters of the U.S.
