PFAS CERCLA Final Rule

In April 2024, the US EPA finalized a rule adding PFOA and PFOS to the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act's (CERCLA) hazardous substance list, commonly known as the Superfund. This decision has sparked concern from various organizations, including wastewater treatment plants, farmers, and solid waste facilities, who are passive receivers of PFAS contamination and are unsure of the rule's potential impacts.

Paul R. Jackson, the Program Manager for Environmental Compliance and Emerging Contaminants, delivers a 30-minute presentation covering the implementation and enforcement of new regulations, laboratory requirements and test methods, reporting requirements, and who will be responsible for funding these initiatives.
